Bravis Security was selected to install the security package for the Ingham’s Cold Store facility in Lytton.
The Ingham’s Chicken DC is a large and complex environment with considerations around the freezer rooms, making this job particularly interesting and one our project team thoroughly enjoyed.
We worked closely with the management team to put together the Video VMS, Security and Access Control systems, IP Intercom System, AV Package, and a fibre backbone for the security network.
Installation of new security system
Bravis came up with a custom door locking solution for the large insulated dock doors that are required to keep the facility at the appropriate temperature.
The installation comprised over 40 cameras, 50 access control doors, and included full camera coverage of freezer and blast chiller areas — which took careful planning and implementation to avoid humidity and condensation issues.

Why it mattered
A cold store is an unusual environment for security hardware — the freezer rooms and large insulated dock doors both constrain what can be mounted where, and how doors can be secured without compromising the temperature envelope. The custom dock door locking solution was designed specifically for that constraint.
